The parish of Saint-Hilaire recognizes its elders

In 2019, the Festival de la Bagosse shared a piece of its history with its hosting parish - Saint-Hilaire

In 2019, Saint-Hilaire had an incentive to celebrate this wonderful year. They memorialized their 150th anniversary of the creation of the parish, making it the 3rd oldest in Madawaska after Saint-Basile and Saint-François.

The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the parish was officially launched on June 9, 2019 with a mass overseen by Mgr Claude Champagne and the recognition of our deans over the age of 85. After this celebration, a community dinner and a photo exhibit were held in the municipal hall.

The journey accomplished by the community of Saint-Hilaire over the past 150 years attests to the tedious work, solidarity, and commitment of its people over the years. It is with great honor that we invite you to come and celebrate the most outstanding moments in the history of the parish.
